Family Fun

I wanted to get outside and do some s'mores with the kids. So we made it into a homework burning party since they don't need their notebooks anymore. Eleanor was very happy to burn some of the work from her classes. She took great pleasure in it. Eleanor was having so much fun that Charlotte decided to join in. Then we enjoyed some yummy s'mores. These summer evenings are great!

We had a great time for 4th of July celebrating our country's birthday. On Thursday (the night before) we went to the local park for music and a fireworks show. There were lots of people there, and Charlotte and Eleanor each brought a friend and met up with others while we were there. Grandma and Grandpa also found us there so we got to hang out with them too. It was a lovely night! On the actual day of 4th of July I got up early and got some things ready for the day and went out walking with a community group. It was fun. Then we drove up to see the Sedro Wolley rodeo. It was fun and they do a good job of keeping things moving and interesting. There were some very talented riders. It was sunny, but not too hot and it was just a nice day. Zaron was able to come with us, but didn't stay the whole time so he didn't get in the picture unfortunately. After the rodeo, we went to the park and ate the dinner that I packed. We just relaxed and played on the playground for a bit. Wh...

I have been wanting to go to the UW planetarium for a long time.  But whenever I try to get tickets, they are all gone!  I saw that they were having a show and so I got on the second that they were made available the next morning, and I was able to grab some for the whole family! We learned about the planets in our solar system and I learned a lot of facts that I didn't know before.  it was a fun evening together!

We had family dinner so we got to celebrate Corban's birthday with the extended family. I made a super yummy lemon cake with lemon cream cheese frosting for his cake.  It turned out pretty great. We sang, he blew out the candles, and we had a nice evening together. We sure love Corban!

They have been playing a few Club World Cup Soccer games in Seattle the past few weeks. Eleanor was going with a friend to the game that River was playing and I decided that I should go and support the Argentine team too.  So Charlotte and I grabbed some tickets last minute and had a great time at the game. Unfortunately, River lost, but it was so fun to see the amazingly enthusiastic Argentine fans, singing and waving flags the whole time. I love it!

I walked into the toy room the other morning to find Bailey sleeping on the couch there.  I just thought she looked like a royal dog sitting there lazily on her fur blanket, so I had to take a picture.
