Stake Conference

We had a visiting authority, Elder Spataro, for our Stake Conference, so as the RS Presidency, we got to put together the dinner for between leadership session and the adult session. We did a salad bar and of course Kelly J. made it look beautiful. These are such great ladies to work with!

Also, I wore my favorite comfy dress to Stake Conference on Sunday morning. I love it because it is SO comfortable and it still looks good. And it has pockets of course. When I saw my friend Jen also wearing the same dress, we had to take a picture together. We both work that dress for the same reasons. Love it!

Mariner's Win!

I just happened to have gotten some value tickets to one of the last Mariner's games of the season. Well, it turned out that if they won that game they would clinch a playoff berth this year. We cheered them on, and they won! The celebration afterward was awesome and fun. Everyone was so happy. I'm writing this after the fact, but the M's went on to ALMOST make it to the World Series, but didn't. Cal Raleigh had an incredible season with over 60 HRs. Amazing. It was a super fun season to watch. I still remain a true blue Mariner's fan, even though they can't seem to get to the World Seried. Maybe next year? I'll keep cheering. One day I believe it will happen.

One of the awesome things that happened during the playoffs was that during a ridiculously long 16 inning game, they ended up doing the Salmon run again and this time Humpy won the race (which he never had before). The crowd went crazy. And then the Mariners ended up winning the game. Many people credit Humpy with the amazing win. It was a strangely unifying moment for Seattle. Everyone was talking about Humpy winning. Love it.

Liam at Work

Liam has been working so hard trying to earn money to do flight training. I am so proud of him for applying to jobs and working towards his goals. He interviewed at a couple of places but they didn't quite seem like the right schedule fit for him. Then this Les Schwab tire job came up and it was perfect! Maybe not quite what he wanted to be doing, but he gets every Sunday off because they are closed and he is working 30 hours, which is also perfect. Nice way to ease into full time work. Of course he is learning a lot. I snuck a couple of pictures of him at work for posterity's sake. Such a handsome young man.

Big Cousins

I love that our kids get to be the big cousins now. They are getting into that role pretty well, and the little ones love it! Family dinners are always so fun.

Banana Ball

Brad and Kelli were lucky enough to win the Banana Ball lottery and got tickets to go. Brad decided to take me and Mom and Dad too. What an awesome surprise! I was actually really excited to go. I felt a little bad leaving my family at home, but it was so much fun! It was really entertaining the whole time and they really make a show out of it. I hope I can take the kids someday!

Mom wanted to make sure we were all decked out in yellow so she grabbed some yellow flowers from her yard.

We arrived together, but they randomly assign seats to you, so we didn't get to sit with Kelli's family. But the whole time was fun and special, and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day! Thanks Brad!

Deck Maintenance

This was a deck maintenance year. It's so much work. Zaron wasn't really feeling up to working on it all summer with him trying to get back to work, so it got put off. We could see the weather heading for fall and Zaron was getting really stressed out so I decided I would tackle as much as I could. The kids and I removed the bad boards and then I spent a solid week and a half of full days pressure washing and staining everything. Thankfully, Zaron was able to put the new boards in. I just put on some good audiobooks and went for it. I was really sore after, but I made it before the weather turned on us! Yes!

Levi's Birthday

Levi had a birthday party and wanted all of his family to come and celebrate with him. Unfortunately, Charlotte had a game that night, so only Liam and Eleanor could go. I was proud of them for going on their own and celebrating with everyone. Sounds like it was a very fun party! What a great family we get to be a part of.

Eleanor's Lego City

Eleanor has been hard at work at building an amazing Lego city. She is trying to make housing for all of her people, so she even had to include a homeless encampment with tents and people living on the lake and on boats. She has been so very creative with it all. I am glad she is concerned that all of her people are housed. She is really a great Lego builder.

Day of Service

This year for the Day of Service, the Stake RS was in charge of putting on one of the service projects. Since the RS President wasn't going to be there, us councilors were in charge. It was super simple, just coloring pictures and writing notes of encouragement for nursing homes and hospitals. It was actually quite relaxing and enjoyable.

Wall Hangings

I made wall hangings for the camp presidency again this year. I hope they liked them!

Puyallup Fair

After Eleanor's tournament, we headed over to the Puyallup Fair. It's been a while since we have been there. We had fun looking at the exhibits and animals. We saw some pigs who were just hours old. It was so cute. I made Charlotte take pictures as a police officer in their exhibit. She was mostly not amused by it, haha. It was a fun afternoon/evening.

Labor Day Tournament Win!

Eleanor's team won the tournament they played during Labor Day weekend. They played hard and it was fun to watch them battle on the field.  Of course they had their tribute to Eloise when they accepted their medals. What a great team!

Sounders Game

The girls got free tickets to see a Sounders game through their club soccer team, so of course we needed to catch a game this summer. It was...
